The Gray Hair Day

This is for the audience of women over thirty. For all of us who tried to do everything before the age of 20 because we were brillant. You thought your life would never change. We are always searching for the perfect hair style or should I say hair color. I'm know I'm not alone when I say, I have no idea what my natural hair color is. I've gone through the home dye sessions, pulling your hair through a cap (what were we thinking) and now we stick tinfoil in our hair to get the ultimate contrast. I said all that to say this, no matter what effort we make, the inevitable happens. Yes, I'm talking about the dreaded GRAY HAIR. While styling my hair the other day, I was confronted with total reality. I pulled out a few hairs and noticed immediately they were not normal. The best way to describe gray hair is comparable to horse hair. It is totally thick, stubborn, and a head full might require a wirebrush. Well that's where the Lord started to speak. His word says that He will give us beauty for ashes. So in His suttle loving way, he showed me beauty in the ashes that are forming on my head. Let's face it ladies, none of us would go back if we had to do the same thing over. So, the next time you see a gray hair, smile and know that with each new one that pops up, God is going to shower you with beauty.
